About me

Brad Boggie is the owner of Tiny Sparks Design, he creates all of the original designs and makes each piece by hand in his San Francisco studio.

After almost 20 years designing and building custom furniture, Brad wanted to branch out and experiment with integrating different techniques into his work.  This led to Tiny Sparks Design where he gets to work with a variety of woods (which he knows and loves so much) and gets to strech is imagination to add images and color to his work. The addition of screenprinting has proven to be a great vehicle for Brad to add some fun and creativity to what he does.

A furnituremaker by trade, Brad completed his furniture apprenticeship 17 years ago in 1992.  He studied with David Marks in Santa Rosa, California, and built furniture for companies such as Berkeley Mills and Charles Shackleton Furniture. He started his own independent furniture studio in 1995 in Emeryville, California and finally settled in San Francisco, near his home. His business was primarily designing and building custom-made, one-of-a-kind pieces for clients all over the United States.

In addition to a successful career building custom furniture, Brad has been an instructor at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco since 1994.  He is in the interior architecture department teaching students how to build furniture and how to use their design skills to properly design furniture.

Brad lives in San Francisco with his wife and 8-year old son.  In his spare time, he listens to a lot of obscure, independent music, eats out at a lot of dives and is always finding wierd stuff on the internet.  Oh yeah, he loves his iPhone.
